Before and After

I haven't picked up my camera at all this week. My little one is sick with a stuffy nose and has been up for the past three nights and I don't trust myself to handle expensive equipment. I'm posting one of the very first photos I took with my DSLR. Actually, I took it the morning after opening my camera. I didn't edit it very much just rounded corners, and an unsharp mask. I used PSE. The coloring difference was actually a mistake, not an edit. When I first started I didn't realize that I had to convert all of my photos to sRGB for them to show up with the correct coloring on the web. I actually liked the color malfunction for this shot, and never converted it.

I really love this edit, it brings out a soft, sweet feeling. But for the purpose of the blog hop I thought I'd throw in a fresh edit as well. I didn't want to possibly break any rules posting an old edit.

The After After:

I edited this in Lightroom and added an unsharp mask in PSE. I wanted it to look like a Victorian painting, as I had plans to use it as a print in our bedroom. I'm trying to get out of my editing comfort zone and try new looks. So, is it a keeper?
